There are times when we see and feel all the chaos around us, it is overwhelming and discouraging. And then, there are these simple small things that empower you. Little but bright enough to make a darkest night!
During our first day orientation, I introduced myself that my spirit animal is a potato because I like potatoes. And they can call me Mr. Potato. Today, a student drew this one for me. It made me smile, enough to overcome a dreadful day.
Next week, I will go back to see my hematologist. We will now try an injection therapy called Pegasys. It will be overwhelming all over again. Adjustments, weekly blood tests, and side effects. So, I will keep looking for these small things, these small hopeful reminders, these little yet powerful messages to make a difference.
I will be okay. I will be okay.
